Every host submits TIN, business licence and ID. Our local team reviews each property within 24 hours before it appears in search.

Secure payments

All payments run through licensed Tanzanian aggregators. We're PCI-DSS SAQ A — your card never touches our servers.

Trust the gut

If a listing or message feels off, report it. We investigate every flag within 24 hours and refund you if something's wrong.

Your safety while you travel

  • Use the in-app messaging until you arrive — never share full payment details outside BookmyStay.
  • Confirm check-in instructions with the host the day before. We provide host phone numbers on every booking.
  • Trust ratings: properties below 4.0 stars are reviewed and may be suspended.
  • For unfamiliar areas, use the in-app map and our recommended transport partners.

What we'll never ask

BookmyStay will never ask you to:

  • Pay outside the platform via personal mobile money or bank transfer.
  • Share your password or PIN with our staff or your host.
  • Continue conversations on third-party apps before you've booked.
